Code of Conduct:Objective
Proper conduct and common courtesy are essential. Disciplinary procedures shall follow the Association Chartered Club Rules, as may be amended from time to time by the Association’s Board of Directors, as well as the Code of Conduct, as stated herein.
The Cornhole Club is committed to providing a fun and safe environment that is free from harassment and discrimination in which all individuals, members, non-members, and volunteers, are treated with respect and dignity. This policy applies to conduct by TAVCC members and volunteers, including board, and committee members and applies to complaints of harassment that involve members and volunteers at all TAVCC events and activities including, without limitation, board and committee meetings and all other TAVCC Cornhole court play, events and social media outlets, not limited to MTL, Facebook, and NextDoor.In order to provide all participants at events/activities (such as play at the Cornhole courts,) the opportunity to interact, TAVCC is committed to providing a safe and pleasant environment free of discrimination, hostility, harassment, and retaliation.TAVCC has a zero-tolerance policy for discrimination, hostility, harassment, and retaliation and is committed to enforcing this policy. This policy does not supersede the Code of Conduct section of the TAV Charter Club Rules: TVCAA Code of Conduct (3.3.2)
Harassment DefinedHarassment is strictly prohibited. Harassment includes verbal, written, or physical conduct that denigrates or shows hostility toward an individual that:
● Has the purpose or effect of creating an intimidating, hostile, or offensive environment
● Has the purpose or effect of interfering with an individual's performance or ability to participate in TAVCC event/activities; or otherwise affects an individual's ability to participate in TAVCC events and activities.
Harassing conduct includes epithets, slurs, or negative stereotyping, threatening, intimidating, or hostile acts, denigrating jokes, offensive texts, and emails, as well as posts to social media outlets.
Sexual harassment means any unwelcome conduct, comment, gesture, or contact of a sexual nature, whether on a one-time basis or in a continuous series of incidents that might reasonably be expected to offend, embarrass, or offend an individual. Sexual harassment also includes any unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and other verbal or physical unwelcome conduct.Prohibited Conduct
As a social organization, TAVCC is committed to diversity, equity, and respectful treatment of allmembers, volunteers, and Club employees at all TAVCC events and activities.
Conduct that is prohibited includes:
● Harassment or intimidation based on race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, marital status, citizenship, as well as any other characteristics that may be protected by applicable law
● Sexual harassment or intimidation, including unwelcome sexual attention, stalking, or unsolicited physical contact
● Harassment, intimidation, or coercion based upon a position as a board member, committee member or any position of influence
● Abusive, lewd, or threatening conduct
● Bullying, harassment toward participants at TAVCC events/activities
● Physical violence or threats of violence
● Sexually charged communications or conduct
